The production class is a more in depth version of our video school, and is designed with the more advanced videographer in mind. It caters more toward someone who has spent a few seasons filming their hunts, but is looking to take their video skills up a notch, earn a spot with an outdoor television show, or make a career change.
Day 1 of our production class will primarily focus on the art of storytelling through the lens of a camera. We will take an in depth look at the many different aspects of storytelling that will increase your production value and allow your viewer to relate to what you are experiencing:
• Intro to story telling
• Unique Show Ideas
• Openers
• Setting the Scene
• The Hunt
• Recap/Recovery
• And Much More
Day 2 is all about the camera as we explore setting up and shooting advanced, dynamic shots. You will learn the secrets of time lapse, area reference shots, logo integration, dslr, and adding motion to shots with dollies and cranes just to name a few. We will also dive into studio set ups, as well as covering interview techniques to bring out certain attributes of who you are filming.
Day 3 will be spent with famed Hollywood screenwriter David Freeman. He is going to spend the day discussing character building techniques with the class. David’s whole purpose with this class is to show the students how Hollywood would make them, or the people in their show, more compelling and entertaining to watch, while still allowing them to be who they are and not having to “act”.
